  In my many years at Bethel, they had a black guy (good man) named Eddie Duncan. He was of the anointed class and served for about 25 years. In all of that, they never made him a Bethel Elder. He would train the young guys that came in, and pretty soon they would become his overseer. Then right before they reassigned him to the field, they counseled the man and told him to reach out for more responsibility.(Bethel Elder) All the time they knew he was on the chopping block.

  Well the good news is, they have two black guys on the branch committee. They are spiritual giants, in fact, I think Leon Weaver is one of the men that dealt with Ray Franz and signed off on his letters from the society, when he got the ax.

  I am waiting to see if a spanish brother will be added. I think they will eventually have to throw some variety in the mix. The scriptures said, God is not partial.

  Dan Sydlik spanked Lon Schilling and Len Pearson at the Farm

  when dan sydlik a member of the governing body whom i feel was a good man was living.

  he heard all the cries from the bethelites about the hard rulership of lon schilling and len pearson.

  eventually he took care of those guys and lon schilling was nicely removed from all of his vast power.

  When Dan Sydlik a member of the Governing Body whom I feel was a good man was living. He heard all the cries from the bethelites about the hard rulership of Lon Schilling and Len Pearson. Eventually he took care of those guys and Lon Schilling was nicely removed from all of his vast power. He and Len Pearson were overlooked for the new Branch Committee that was developed some years back for the USA. I find it ironic that as soon as Dan Sydlik died, Lon Schilling was added to the US Branch Committee. When he came back into power, he returned to his old ways of arrogant reign and now I hear a lot of brothers that went up against him during the Dan Sydlick days, are feeling the heat. I wonder if he is the person who single handedly signed Grover Taylor's reassignment papers to the field. After at those 40 years, he ends up in the field getting 130 hours a month with $600.00 monthly stipend. I really saw that coming after Grover was reassigned to the factory. I can imagine that James Rayford is next on the chopping block after telling everyone that the preaching work had been accomplished. By the way, does anyone know if Len Pearson is still working in the UPS department at the farm? I tell you, Dan Sydlik was really a good man.

  i understand that he still lives in ny are and has a mortgage company.

  evidently, he was hurt while serving at the farm and watchtower did some horrible things to him.

  I understand, A few years back, we had a guy who worked in the Infirmary at the Farm (Bethel Elder). He was married to a very nice sister, and he was used on a lot of Bethel Judicial Committees. Well, shorty after he participated in disfellowshipping someone for wrongdoing and they immediately had to leave the Farm. This same Bethel Elder got caught up in greedy porn of all sorts. Unlike the others who are asked to leave immediately, they gave him 30 days to leave, He told everyone he had to go home and help his family. They threw him going away parties and did not inform the local congregation that he was deleted as an Elder. So they let him leave with all his glory because he was one of the good old boys. I was floored to see this happen because the guy was righteous over much. The moral of the story is, they make the rules and with having absolute power--they bend them when they wish. Here is a clue for the ex-bethelites---he was a shubby and educated and his wife was from another country--he was a medicine guy if you get my drift. He is now serving as an Elder again out west.

  Daniel,

  That reasoning is very solid, Bethelite Elder is not a Bethelite or an Elder, in fact he is the security guy at the house WBTS built in San Diego for the return of the Saints. At least he has job security right, good job! Also Penny2 is not really a penny or 2 cents, and flipper is not really a dolphin, and shopaholic has never ever been shopping.

  And based on that same reasoning, we now have to question whether those claims about child abuse among the organization are true?

  Because as aligot put it,

  Elders

  - he will have to report to his hierarchy about his handling of the JC .

  - whatever one may say, he has a conscience.

  so surely no elder or PO would do wrong-------
